January Marches on: a 76ers thread

The 538 predictions really lay out how stratified this season is. Basically half the league is a decent to good playoff team and the other half is far away on either end.

- 3 teams projected at 60+ wins
-Only 1 team (Celtics) project to win between 50-60 games
- 14 teams predicted to win between 43-49
- 3 teams projected 36-38
- 9 teams 22-30

Where does it show you the number of games they’re projected to win?

Doesn't seem to come up on the mobile version of the site. It's there on desktop. Sixers are projected 48 wins (3rd in the east 6th overall, like half the league is right behind them though)

I don’t have fancy computer numbers backing me, but I’d probably put them at about 47-48 right now too. I support it.

Given the dreck left on the Sixers schedule, if they don't hit 47 wins, it will be pretty damn disappointing. It would be a lot to ask to win 14 of 17 but given who is left and the Sixers success at home (knock on wood, fingers crossed and all other jinx breakers in effect), 50 wins is not completely out of the question.

Noted above, I’m probably punting that Denver game by sitting Embiid and looking at the Detroit game as a schedule loss. I’m also scaling back Embiid a lot so I’m thinking we drop another 3-5 on top of that if I’m in charge.

It’ll depend on what’s locked up when and who’s playing for what. That Bucks game might be important for seeding for them and meaningless for us, for example.

They beat Denver in Denver without Embiid.

Though it's not a back to back, I don't think they would rest him for that sort of situation at that point in the season.

Detroit has a west coast trip coming up. They could be eliminated by the time we play them. (Though they probably won't get their pick.)

6 point favorites against the Pacers.

Huge game.

Heat lose so 3 games back in the loss column. Heat also look like they've got a fairly easy run in so good to see them take an L.

Big game vs. Indy.

That seems somewhat over the top but I guess that's what happens when a billion dollar company is centered around the well being of 15 people.

In the "jokes write themselves" category Dario is questionable for tonight's game with the poops.

Per r/Sixers Pompey apparently tweet then deleted "Fultz potentially slated to play Friday... more to come later."
