The Lenny Dykstra Insanity Thread

The Lenny Dykstra Insanity Thread

Postby Rev_Beezer » Wed Nov 02, 2011 7:50 pm

This weekend, Lenny Dykstra was scheduled to be part of an autograph signing at the Oxford Valley Mall, through Eric Poppel, who does shows periodically throughout the year. Poppel always seemed like a decent guy to me, especially in the world of sports memorabilia, which is filled with a lot of dirtbags and scumbuckets.

On their website they had for weeks, "possibly the last time you might get his autograph," being that he's probably going to prison in January.

Dykstra has since opted to not do the signing because he wants to box Jose Canseco this weekend. Can't make that crap up. Deadspin has an interesting article about it.

On http://www.poppel.com, they have hilariously changed the picture of The Dude from a '93 era photo to a pic of Lenny in prison garb, and changed their message.

I don't know where the old Dykstra thread was, but I figured we can always use another one.

Is Lenny even capable of raising his arms to defend himself?

Last I saw him he looked like he had some serious brain damage, this could turn out to be a really, really bad idea
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Its apparently real. Found it on philly.com. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20111103_Dan_Gross__HEDLINE_HERE_KJKJ.html?cmpid=131298144&imageId=58733853 As to who would pay to see this crap, you got me. Mets fans, maybe, if even just to prove to themselves that there is something more pathetic then their favorite team.

I have to admit..........I wouldn't mind seeing Buttafucco-Ballera.

There's got to be some legit hate there.

Only question I have is why is Lenny billed as an Ex-Phillie? Local marketing? He really should be listed as a Met.

PPV being handled by FilmON:

"Many people have called FilmOn disrupters of the Television space but that is not at all the case. We are enhancing the status quo. Our business to business solutions is where we re-brand both our technology platforms and content partnerships to third parties. FilmOn is designed to help evolve the Broadcast and Cable Industry into the new Over The Top landscape whilst maintaining the existing business models with value added services," added Mr. David.

Canseco/Buttafuoco seems the better matchup... is the Baywatch dude the most normal person on this?

The previous Dykstra thread had Eskin in the title, so this is better.
