MLBTV, etc

Anyone discounts out there this year? I saw that if you buy premium, you get the At Bat app free.

Also is it possible to sign up under a friend/relative's address so the Phils games aren't blacked out

I think they check the IP of your connection to determine blackouts, not your billing address.

mickbayne trained me in the way of the proxy server and how to get around the blackouts. Sometimes you'd get really good quality and sometimes not. But if not you can keep looking for a better proxy to use.

And if anyone finds any great deals I'd also like to know so I can cancel before it automatically renews.

For once being 3,000 miles away has it's perks.

I just hope that I can finally choose to overlay the radio audio this year. Only ever had that as an option when using it on my old roommate's ps3.

Just dropped the money on this for the first time since I can watch through the XBox or on the iPhone when I am out... hope it was a good choice...

Everyone looking into this should make sure to check their zip code on MLB's site to make sure you won't be blacked out for being in the local market.

I posted this in another thread, but I'll post here as well, if you jailbreak your iPhone or iPad you can fake your location with an app and watch all the games on there that way. If you have an appletv, you can mirror it on there from your iPad.

Where I live is weird. The official website says only the Mets and Yankees are blacked out here, but each of the last two years the Phillies have been blacked out the first time I tried to watch a game, and I had to call to have them fix it. I get PHL17 with my Comcast cable package, but not CSN.

I agree with kruker on the radio overlay. What I ended up doing last year was listening to the radio in gameday and watching the moving pictures on mute. If it was off by more than a few seconds that was annoying, but not annoying enough to listen to TMac.

The MLB At Bat phone app is different -- live game audio, etc.

It's essentially the greatest app of all time.
