MLBTV, etc

Re: MLBTV, etc

Spent 54 minutes on the phone with mlbtv trying to get my account to work. It was working until today. Turns out my credit card in their system is the one we closed out this year. Put in a new credit card, but it kept saying that I couldn't purchase the product because I had already purchased a similar product. Of course, if I had purchased the product, why won't it let me see the game.? So there may be two problems and they couldn't figure out how to fix either problem.

But I've been assured that I supervisor will look into it. That would be a first.

The other option is create a whole new mlb account through another email. I really don't want to create a new email just to purchase mlbtv.

The full up version of MLB.tv. Pretty sweet deal.

Yeah, they've done this the last several years. Can't remember the last time I had to pay for it.

I'm a bit confused. I thought the whole deal with the NBCSports app thing this year would allow subscribers to watch Phillies games regardless of whether they were "in market." Like I have CSN at home, I'm on the NBC app, but can't watch the game at work on NBC or MLB because of blackout provisions. I thought NBC was agnostic to that? Even weirder, because of where our servers must be, even though I'm in NYC most days, I trigger the blackout for the Phillies.

Gah, really? I've tried it at home, in Manhattan and now in Princeton and nothing. I've got Verizon fios at home with CSN. Doesn't make sense.

Cool. Thanks guys. Will try it again at home to see how if it works there now. Still a no-go on the work computer.

Or an IP location issue. My work computer's IP address routes to NJ. I guess the company has some server farm there.

Hating mlbtv this year. It's constantly freezing for 30-120 seconds, then just resumes. By the 7th inning, I am 20-30 minutes behind the actual game action. I've tried different browsers and computers, but no dice.

any ideas?

I wonder if it might be a flash problem. I have the latest version, but it's asked me to update twice.

no matter what setting or enabling I do in Chrome settings, Mlb.tv won't play without me right clicking the flash thingy. It's pretty annoying.
