Found a copy of Sports Illustrated lying around and read most it over my lunch break. Pretty refreshing to get a broader perspective on sprots, read on paper

for $50 or $94 for a pair you can have Saturday Brunch that includes Filet and some other gourmet stuff with Howard and Spike Eskin

After laying off everyone except Melrose, ESPN decided they want to cover NHL again, hiring SI MMQB (football) writer Emily Kaplan to be a national NHL reporter

Fox Sports let go many people including Bruce Feldman AND Stewart Mandel, two of the best college sports reporters in the country (also had a great podcast, Audibles). As I said with ESPN carnage, sad times for legit journalism fans
