Penn State is seeking almost $900,000 from former defensive coordinator Bob Shoop, and the university doesn't expect him to pay up, according to court documents obtained by PennLive.

According to the documents, Penn State requested, in writing, that Shoop make the payment required under the contract. The university, in the lawsuit, claims Shoop has not made any payment, and, through counsel, has indicated a refusal to make such a payment.

Deadbeat.

And now that he has sucked at Tennessee, no booster is going to pay it for him.

Pay what you owe Bob.

His bank account is going to hear it.

I am glad it broke down the way it did with him anyway. Pry is going to be a star.

Bill C is awesome.

They beat Ohio State with special teams — something that almost never happens to Urban Meyer

It's so awful he pays for his son to go there and play on the team.

He's in deep trouble financially. He simply doesn't have the money. He's only made real money for 2 years in his career.

Yeah he basically would have been working for free if he has to pay that back. Doubt he even has that. Getting desperate because future employers will remember him talking out of both sides of his mouths when Butch Jones gets fired.

Shoop left for two reasons.

1. His wife absolutely HATED State College and was miserable there.

2. He thought he could put up a top-10 national defense at UT with everyone they had back and parlay that into a head job by this year. When that went south and Tennessee actually got worse under him, he was completely screwed. He wanted the Vanderbilt job and thought when he left Mason would get fired after last season.

I also heard he flat out begged for an interview at Delaware but they didn't even give him a sniff.

It's weird. I don't believe his wife ever moved from Nashville despite Shoop buying a house in State College. I was told she still lives in Nashville even with him in Knoxville.
