Vandy was down 1 in the bottom of the ninth, two on, no outs and kendall up. Had him bunt into a double play and lost.

UNLV beats #7 CS-Fullerton 6-1 tonight. Fun game, offense actually showed up and bullpen held it down.

lengthy, but good, read about donny everett. he was a first round talent that decided to go to vanderbilt instead and drowned the day before regionals started.

Buffalo is ending their baseball program again after the season to save money and still meet the minimum requirements for FBS

Florida was losing a game 10-1 in the 4th and rain came so they delayed the game then called it., This is all fine but then they stated they wouldn't reschedule it. This had the effect of not giving them a loss.

i didn't see about the tarp delay, but fwiw i read the stetson team agreed that they didn't want to resume the game at a later date and that their pr/sid went rogue.

Florida could simply concede the game, no?

i'm not sure of the mechanics but i assume they'd have to forfeit. not sure there is any precedence for that.

Missouri is banned from the CWS this season after an investigation revealed a tutor completed academic work for 12 student-athletes total

For most of the student-athletes, the tutor completed online coursework that included assignments, quizzes or exams. She completed an entire course for one student-athlete and completed portions of a placement exam for two student-athletes.

During her interview with the university and the NCAA enforcement staff, the tutor reported the way in which she was assigned one particular student-athlete to tutor was changed, and an academic coordinator contacted her directly to let her know the student needed to pass a course to graduate. She continued that she felt pressure to make sure the student passed and resorted to completing the student-athlete’s coursework, the committee said. The activity repeated itself with other academic coordinators and other student-athletes, so the tutor continued to complete varying degrees of academic work for student-athletes, according to the report.
