A lot of rumors that Martin was swinging Porter to Mizzou. Probably best for Washington anyway.

Romar's time at Washington seems weird. Seems like early on they were constantly on the verge of breaking through to becoming an elite program.
Do it again!

Ed, the Illinois job is open too (and they want to try to get Tony Bennett for 4.5 million?)

Saw Tony Bennett's name thrown around but that is pretty common with big openings now.

If he hangs loose for two years, the UW job may open up for him. It may be the job that would pull him away from VA.

I would guess he passed on it last year if they went with Gard.

I don't see him going for another college job, but I won't profess to know what's in another man's heart. Maybe he'll try the NBA sometime.

I don't think he is an NBA coach. His preferred style of play is not NBA ready. Good college coach.

Again, I think the media is sleeping on Tim Jankovich at SMU (native of Gary, Ind.). Of course if they lose to USC he probably falls off the carousel. But one win and especially if they beat Baylor on Sunday, he's going to be hard to ignore.

I agree, but there are some major egos at IU.
