Ball worked out for the Lakers today

Ball also said that if the Lakers pass on him, he would play for any team. "I'll go to any team and just do what I do -- play basketball."

This was the first and could be the only workout for the Chino Hills, California, native. One source told ESPN that the Lakers, who have the second pick in the June 22 draft, wanted to get a close look at his unorthodox shooting form. Ball said that a significant portion of the workout involved shooting.
.
.
Multiple sources told ESPN that Ball is the front-runner to be selected by the Lakers, but that former Kansas wing Josh Jackson and ex-Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox are also in the equation.

"I got positive vibes," Ball said of his workout. "It was a lot of fun."
.
.
He will do medical testing Thursday morning before heading back home. He was not accompanied by his father, LaVar Ball, who has captured headlines with his lightning-rod personality. Asked if Lakers brass asked about his dad, Lonzo Ball said: "They said they love him. That's about it."

Damn, I was looking at him if he dropped into the 2nd and maybe trading up a few spots to do it. I hope he is ok. Now, he's a stash candidate at 50.

3 team trade for Butler or Hayward?

I don't see anything Sac has that Boston wants, certainly not more draft picks.

Hayward's a UFA (with a player option) isn't he? I've said before that I could see Ainge going for Butler but if the Kings got Fultz, what would the Bulls get?

so basically this year players seem to be working out for teams that they won't play for and players aren't working out for teams they will play for?

Sac 5 + 10 + ?? for #1 I guess. Don't know why Boston would even consider that.

I would assume those picks and something else would head to a third team (Chicago? Indiana?) but would bet on the Celtics just picking Fultz.

Total speculation:

Celts get: Butler & WCS
Bulls get: 5, 10 & Jaylen Brown
Kings get: Fultz

Just my opinion, but Celtics only giving up 1 and Brown to get Bulter and WCS seems like highway robbery

what a strange report. even if there is some trade between Celtics and Kings being discussed, why would Fultz feel compelled to help in that effort? or even know about it

seems like bs

I totally buy that the Lakers may pass on Ball. Kings getting up to #1 though? For what? 5, unprotected 2021 first, plus rights to swap picks in 2018 and/or 2020? That feels fair-ish, but I don't see why either team does that deal unless it's a three teamer and the Bulls are really trying to reload over an extended period.

It's hard to buy a three teamer where the Cs get a star and the team that sends the star would prefer a bunch of picks over Fultz himself.
