League sources tell @RamonaShelburne and me: The Pacers and Lakers have engaged on Paul George trade talks in advance of Thursday's draft.

Yeah, not great Bob

I'd like to give that to the Celtics next year at 4 or 5 and dream on the Kings pick

I'm not going to complain where that second pick comes from.

Oh I'm ecstatic about the whole chain of events, especially after sweating those Laker pick odds the past three years. But completely unprotected beats the hell out of 6+

But say the Lakers give up 2 and Russell for George, they still might be really bad so maybe they could be 4th or 5th pick?

I think 2 and Russell is an overpay considering the Pacers' lack of leverage. I would try to get it done without 2 or Ingram and if not, wait until you can scoop him up in free agency.

Yea I think the Pacers would do George for no. 2 straight up in a heartbeat. I'm not sure the Lakers would even do that.

He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and went to Ohio State. I actually think he'd fit in well in Indiana.

I totally agree, I think it is dumb they are even in on PG13 but I guess they are scared he goes to Cleveland and loves it there and him and LeBron never leave.

I'm guessing the Lakers aren't even offering D'Angelo, let alone #2. Probably trying to get them to take Randle and a 2019 1st or something. That might be the best the Pacers can get and will just hold onto him hoping for a deadline deal.

They can't trade a first until 2020. They can trade #2 but only if they wait until after they make the pick.

Josh Jackson did not work out for the Celtics on Tues, multiple sources tell ESPN. Two days before the draft, BOS still hasn't seen him

There are rumblings that they don't really like Russell and are ready to move on

The ideal scenario is the Lakers taking lonzo, Lavar rejoices, then he finds out he's being traded to Indiana. It's in play.

Spent 2 or 2.5 hours driving from Chicago to Michigan (Not including a stop at ND which was awesome.) It may have been the worst couple hours of my life. I have no idea how anyone lives in Indiana.

I seriously doubt many NBA players are clamoring to be in the same locker room as Russell.
