Confeds Cup is so weird...how can Australia be Asian but New Zealand is Oceania? Oceania only has 10 teams, all ranked like 180 and above in the world. 4 years from now you'll have Qatar playing in it.

Australia opted into the Asian federation like 10 years ago so they could face tougher competition and be in better shape when World Cup rolls around

That Vidal no look pass was filthy good.
But video replay takes it away (2nd goal today disallowed by video)

SkyBet has Patrick Vieira as a 5/4 favorite to land the Saints managerial opening; Pelligrino is at 7/4 and De Bour is at 6/1.

Salah will be finalized tomorrow. Will we switch to 343 to keep all our attackers out there? Or keep 433 and rotate, good problems to have.

Took an extra day but Salah is officially a red and will wear #11, so assume Firmino switches to 9.
So much speed in our attack now.
I would really like Sakho to come back to save us splashing out massive money for someone who is barely an upgrade. Need a real left back (unless we go 343) and another CDM. If Studge leaves we'll need a striker.

From the little I've seen of him it does feel like a good fit. You'll have such ridiculous pace up front. I can see you playing a bit like Mourinho's last full year at Chelsea, four creative/pacey types playing fluidly

We're going after Ox. What a midfield bench we'd have.
Would finally have the kind of depth to allow us to competed on multiple fronts.

Would much rather spend money on a center mid and a left back and a center back in roughly that order.

In Barca/PSG drama Verratti has told PSG he is going to leave. PSG have told Barca to #$!&@ off with their asking price twice already. Barca decided to go and buy Paulinho from China. China? China.

How many people cover for the back four in Klopp's system? Poch's pressing usually makes one or both of the holding midfielders available to drop deep and allow our center backs to cover space left by our wingbacks pressing high up the pitch.

Depending on the opponent & formation 1 or 2. I think a lot of our problems against lower level opposition is we'd get caught out with little/no protection on counters and gave up cheap goals out of nothing. It was pretty much just Hendo till he got hurt. Then depending on the opponent and formation it became Can and/or Wijnaldum, neither of whom necessarily have that as their best skill. Would be fantastic to add someone with real steel in the middle. If we did then I'd be fine with Matip-Lovren as first choice. Will need to add someone better as 3rd choice assuming we sell Sakho. It would be easiest just to accept him back into the team but that doesn't seem like it's happening.

Guys, Champions League qualifiers today!

Armenian giants Alashkert are currently up 1-0 against the lowly Andorran club FC Santa Coloma.

Later today we get to see Welsh legends The New Saints ravage Gibraltar's College Europa.

NBC Sports is stopping streaming of EPL games through the app. It will now be an entirely paid platform to stream any games. 50 dollars a season. What a #$!&@ awful decesion.

Are they not streaming the over the air games? My first read was you'd need to pay for the ones that aren't on TV.

Regardless, they'll get $50 from me so maybe not a terrible decision.

One side effect will be ever more United/City/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs fans in the US, with lower tier teams suffering on that front.
