2017 Sixers Offseason II: Same as the First One

What Ainge seems like he's trying to do really reminds me of Amaro when he traded for Doc and traded Cliff for prospects. He's trying to trade for Butler but still have a decent amount assets in reserve to make another move. Just seems like too cute of a strategy, I would just give Chicago #1, maybe add in Crowder, a non Nets pick etc.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

He could probably do 1, Brown & BKN18 for Butler, but doesn't want to give up BKN18 (and who can blame him?). If he does the deal with us he gets Butler and retains BKN18, which is pretty awesome.

That's a lot for Butler.

Lonzo Ball, LA 2018 and 76ers 2019

Markelle Fultz

So if Jackson going at #2 kills the trade then these are the 2 scenarios we could leave draft with. Would be very happy with both.

Sources: The plan's for Markelle Fultz's visit to Philadelphia today to clear way toward finalizing a deal with Boston for No. 1 pick.
I confess that I have never seen Markelle Fultz play a basketball game and I was not at his 76ers workout Saturday in Camden

@WojVerticalNBA: Discussions have centered on Sixers sending 2017 No. 3, 2018 Lakers pick, and possibly 2021 1st -- including complicated protections.

"complicated protections" makes me nervous but I can't figure out how that'd make things worse for us. not thrilled about two picks either. A lot can happen before 2021

Really that's a heck of a deal. 2021 1st should be very late if everything comes together.

The protections are key, might honestly rather just give them 2018 or 2019 and get it out of the way.

The Ringer's Bill Simmons is acting pissy and demanding Holmes.
