Starts Monday at 6 PM. We should be picking in the 6 PM hour, probably around 6:45 (4 minutes between picks).

Pavin Smith, a UVA 1B/OF is being mocked to us frequently, as is JB Buskauskas, a UNC RHP. I'd be happy with either pick, but I lean toward position players b/c of less injury risk.
Marquelle Fultz: (6/23) "My goal is to be the best player in the NBA."
Ben Simmons: (8/28) "My goal is to be the best in the league."
Don't they realize Joel Embiid is in the same league they are?

I guess the good news is we've been so mired in our depression about the team that there has not been a whole lot of prospect cheddar. Hard to be depressed when you're uninformed. But being clueless and complaining is still in Vogue I hear.

This draft is going to be whacky at the top. Now rumors that the Twins are considering Royce Lewis with a below slot at #1. Lewis is the guy I'm dreaming falls to us too. I'll definitely be mad if all heck breaks out with below slot deals and we still take Pavin Smith as a 1B (they can announce him as an OF).

I don't know. This seems like the standards leaked rumors to force negotiations with the guy you are really going to take stuff. I guess we'll see.

Absolutely, but the Ian Anderson smoke from the Braves last year turned out to be real. There's also some sentiment (mainly Keith Law), that the draft talent drops significantly in the 20's. Could be a few teams trying to get 2 guys in that top 20 range with the below slot deals.

My final Phillies board:

1) Any of top 5 guys (Greene, McKay, Lewis, Gore and Wright)
2) Bukauskas
3) Faedo
4) Baz
5) Beck
6) Haseley
7) Smith (heard a James Loney comp that just scared the heck out of me)

I'd also be okay with DL Hall, Trevor Rogers, Sam Carlson, David Peterson or Keston Hiura on below slot deals.

I don't think any of these guys would be a bad pick which means we'll go off the board for Nick Allen.
