Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Clearwater has one more game before the All-Star break. They're tied for 1st with Tampa and 1/2 game ahead of 3rd-place Daytona (ELIM #3)

Lakewood has four more games before their break. They're 1.5 games back, virtual tie for 3rd place, elimination number of 4

A quick non-Phils note: almost-Phillie A.J. Puk was promoted to AA Midland. In high-A this season: 14 games (11 starts), 4-5, 3.69 ERA, .196 BA against, 1.10 WHIP, 98 K, 23 BB, 0-1 in save opportunities

Heyman:

J.P. Crawford, considered the team’s No. 1 prospect, isn’t hitting at Triple-A. I mean at all. One scout said one possible explanation is that he was “over-graded.”
