After leaving ESPN, Jerry Crasnick will now be a senior advisor for player and agent media relations for MLBPA

ESPN rising star Adnan Virk has been fired by the network, sources told The Post.

Virk is accused of leaking confidential company information to the media on multiple occasions, according to sources.

When ESPN investigated the allegations, it felt that Virk failed to fully cooperate.

He recently signed a new multi-year contract.

“Adnan Virk no longer works at ESPN,” ESPN vice president Josh Krulewitz told The Post.

Virk could not immediately be reached for comment.

On Friday, Virk was escorted off the Bristol campus. The specific nature of the information Virk chose to share is unknown at this time.

Has to be ESPN+ related I imagine.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Probably leaked #$!&@ to deadspin since they are pretty much the only blog not to mention the firing.

Pretty ballsy move. If true ESPN seems well within their rights to can him. Was never a big fan of his, but #$!&@ way to go out. His career is over.

At least he has his movie blogging career. I actually like him but that is pretty bad.

Maybe he was leaking some of the stuff about their employees sexually harassing the women.

NY Post said he told Awful Announcing about how MLB and ESPN agreed to shelve weeknight Baseball Tonight shows and move the Sunday show up to 7 pm ET. They also said he was not honest when confronted about it. You would think it's more than that, but he retained a lawyer to fight the decision.

Thing I read is they thought he was leaking to awful Announcing. Apparently he was on part of conference call about the future/changes to baseball tonight and the only info aa reported on was from the time he was on the conference call. I’d imagine they have more if they are gonna try to fire him for cause and get out of his contract.

Wonder what he gets for leaking to them other than momentary arousal?

Apparently his primary spot was on baseball tonight and the changes they were discussing would reduce his role, so maybe a tinge of revenge? I dunno

He had the nerve to predict that OBJ would get traded this offseason
