This was a disgraceful performance by LFC. Full credit to WBA.

Jurgen was majorly salty after the game.
2 draws an a loss to WBA this year. Roma are going to be so psyched watching the film of this one.

Spurs vs Manchester U on right now. This could be a great game.

Deli Alli with a wonder goal. Pretty cross by somebody -- Eriksen? Don't know. We have American announcer guys which is sad.

Spurs should try the Arsenal offside trap.

United have looked much better these last few games. The only major change has been re-inserting Ander Herrera into the lineup. Mourinho is infamous for suddenly benching players, or keeping someone in the dog house without publicly explaining why, but Herrera's situation was different than both of those. I think Mourinho just wanted to shift to a 2 midfielder shape, using Pogba and Matic. I'm sure by now everyone in the known Universe has pointed out that Pogba is much more of an attacking midfielder than a Viera/Makalele/Yaya Toure box-to-box type of player. He needs a third midfielder to play the do-everything type of role, and there are few better at that than Herrera in England. Why it took him so long to go back to a three man midfield defies all logic, but I'm glad he found his way back there.

City already has the trophy, but defeating them and Tottenham within a short period of time gave the end of the season a positive outlook. I'm excited for the United/Mourinho vs Chelsea FA Cup final.

I still assume we'll see a new Left Back, Midfielder and Winger come the 18/19 season, but I like this team moving forward.
The token new guy.

Something historic is about to happen in the Greek Superleague today: a team other than Olympiacos is about to clinch the championship, AEK Athens.

Olympiacos have won the championship 17 out of the last 19 years (and the last 7 straight) so this is pretty great. The other two years, it was Panathinaikos.

In a lot of smaller leagues without TV money it's basically a one or two team race year in and out.

Jerz I am #$!&@ myself for the match today. If not for the WBA game I would have been majorly confident....but hoping with the best XI in there we'll be the team that beat City 5-1 over 2 legs. Need a clean sheet so badly today.
Working from home today so I can meet Carter at the soccer bar near his school.

Karius
Arnold Lovren VVD Robo
Milner Hendo Ox
Salah Bobby Mane

ok watching that has me buzzing...great memories from this loooong season - hope we make a few more. So easy to forget now that Phil scored a hat trick for us and that even Studge scored 1. Those 2 early TAA goals...we absolutely destroyed teams. Still disappointed in that Sevilla game but that's ancient history now.
Let's Go!!!

It'll be a different sort of game as we'll have more of the ball than last round, but even in the 1st leg against Barca, Roma created a bunch of chances away from home when Barca had most of possession. Roma got unlucky with the own goals, then obviously they were fantastic in their home leg. They'll be tough. Soccer is a bit of a dumb sport where in these matchups so much comes down to luck and who finishes and who misses and all that. We've gotten a bit lucky with decisions and finishing and the other team not finishing so far in the knockout stages. Also we've been fantastic. It would be good if all of that could continue for three more matches.

Today is absolutely crawling. Doesn't help that I'm not busy at all with work.

I hope we win.

Team is correct

I just want the game to be over and someone to tell me how it went. I am having trouble not throwing up lunch. Sports are fun things to care about.

Liverpool: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Mane, Firmino
Substitutes: Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Clyne, Wijnaldum, Solanke, Ings

Roma: Alisson; Fazio, Manolas, Jesus; Florenzi, De Rossi, Strootman, Kolarov; Nainggolan, Cengiz, Dzeko

I am shaking with excitement and this isn't even a final. Can't imagine what the players go through.
