Looks like they have no issue handing it to Knapp, which sort of baffles me. I think I've seen enough of him at this point to know he's a AAAA kind of guy, no issue bringing him up if someone goes on the DL but he really can't... you know, catch. I guess they like the bat, he does get on base at a decent clip and knows how to work the count.

Harper and/or Machado to the Phillies is inevitable just like JD martiniez to the Red Sox last year. It is going to happen eventually.

I do think I've convinced myself that (1) the Phillies are the clear high bidder; (2) Harper will come here eventually but will be lukewarm about it even when he does; (3) Harper and his camp are floating as many "mystery" team rumors to get the Phillies to bid against themselves; (4) the Phillies *know* they are the high bidder (and maybe the only serious one) and will not bid against themselves; (5) Harper and his side feel no obligation to wrap this up until mid-March.
