Lost in all this is Klentak getting the deal done In a tough, competitive market. Well done.

Yes, well done.

We're still two moves away from where I'm hoping we'll be to start the season, but things have gone well so far. I'd still like to get machado (or Harper), then trade the redundancies or any remaining cash for a SP at the #2 or #3 level. That will be hard to do this close to the season because the other team will need to replace that person, but I think it's possible. Maybe Keuchel is the way to go, but I'm not crazy about that idea.

Hope wearing #10 doesn't cause him to channel crazy, post-retirement Dutch.

Realmuto to wear number 10, per the twitter of one of the beat writers. Forget which one.

He is a perfect "10" after all!

Ben Simmons: (8/28) "My goal is to be the best in the league."

I feel better and better the more I think about this trade, because I'm a lemming. I initially hated the trade, because I always liked the name Sixto Sanchez and because Jorge Alfaro throws 102. I also hate the trade because these guys are going to blossom in Miami and win another world series. But we improved catcher and shortstop. That'll probably make our pitchers better. I actually think improved defense is going to be a big part of our success this year.

On further review JT showed up to make the Phils more attractive to the huge free agents.

They were serious earlier when noting they would stick with alfaro.

Keuchel, and Kimbrel will beget one of harchado

We also would have had the only two people named Sixto in MLB history thanks to having Sixto Lezcano back in the 80s. He was one of the only baseball cards I had from the season or two he played here.
