Whew. I can post now.

Things were going so well I didn't want to screw with the mojo. Was SF's first hit clean? I'm assuming it was.

If it's LA, they're all by now. If it's St. Louis, they'll give a golf clap. Chicago? Give me a break--they like losing.

These 4-star pitching performances leave so much time in an evening. what to do, what to do?
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Again I agree completely. PHILLIES PHEVER!

And having grown up in the David Coggin-Mike Grace-Garrett Stephenson-Alex Arias, etc. era, it's freakin awesome to finally see this in Philadelphia.

So, I wore my "protest" outfit for the second time to a Phillies game this season (i.e., my Philadelphia Athletics jersey/hat). The first time I protested the Phillies June swoon, when their record had dwindled to 39-37. This time I was protesting Hamels' struggles this year (the previous start in Pittsburgh notwithstanding) and the fact that they've yet to be 23 games over .500 though they've had what feels like several opportunities to get there. Like the July 3rd game against the Mets, it worked, the Phillies won, and both issues were addressed. Just a masterful performance from Cole. A joy to watch.

Good stuff.

Also: 18 pages on a Cole Hamels-gem game thread? What are we - bored of winning?
