I want to throw up.
This is a simple game. You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the ball.

All Lidge needs is to not pitch on successive days; face a bunch of triple A hitters; have a three run lead; have a home plate umpire with a real generous strike zone; and it's nearly an automatic save.

Also, his ERA apparently can not fall below 7 this season.

nice "save"
I wonder how many blown saves Lidge would have this year if every lead was only one.

Great game by Kendrick, totally unexpected.

Lidge nearly blew it again. If not for an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th, I'd be once again fuming. Problem with Lidge is that any runner reaching 1st can automatically take 2nd base, because he pays them no mind. He really needs to work on a slide step or pickoff move this offseason, as well as see a shrink.

if Lidge is having problems throwing out of the stretch but can't hold runners anyway why bother pitching out of the stretch at all? Plus today Howard was playing off the runners anyway....

Tyler Walker should close. He's been the most effective reliever recently and he's done it before.

Wet. Actually hot and wet -- which is OK if you're with a woman, but it sucks if you're in the jungle.

Thank you Roosevelt Lee Roosevelt.

They have some time limit on delays now, don't they? Like after a few hours, they just call the game?

I don't remember. Don't they finish delayed games now at a different time? I know this. A six run lead for the Nats doesn't seem all that safe does it?

Was it as obvious on TV as it was in the stadium that there was complete silence right before every pitch lidge threw? I'm talking game five, two strikes, two outs kinda silence.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.
