If we win, the magic number goes to 5, right?

Down to 4, each win against the team you play directly is 2 off the Magic #.

but won't that make the marlins the third place team, thus making the number 5?
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

It's four in the afternoon, so drunkeness isn't a viable excuse. It's basic addition and subtraction.

Yes, the number would be five if we win the first game. It can get as low as three today, depending on what the Braves do and how our two games go.

Go Phillies!!!

This is the first game of the season that I will be following at work. I usually take the day off when the Phillies play a day game and watch the game at home, but this one sort of snuck up on me. Bastard.

According to gameday, strike 3 wasn't even close. Not even a little. Like, why the hell did he swing at that?

It's crazy that you can pretty much hear individual crowd members.

Good to see Iassogna waited about 3 seconds before calling that. What a #$!&@ dope. He is the worst umpire in Major League history. Wasn't even close. #$!&@.

Sooo glad worst of all-time ump Dan Iassogna has added over aggressive strike and K calls to his repertoire

That pitch was outside, but it wasn't a horrible call.

Iassogna bothers me a lot less than he did five years ago, when his seething hatred for Bowa seemed to compel him to #$!&@ us hard at least once per Phils game he was behind the plate.
