I effing hate the Marlins.

I'd like to bean Hanley Ramirez 4 times in our first game next year.

I'm glad they finished with more wins than last year, even if it is only for aesthetic reasons.

Well, this highlights of 2009 is clearly the best thing I've ever seen. I might cry for Harry.

Bad news: I have to work all day and have class at night.

Good news: Nobody down here cares about the Phils, so I should be able to make it home without seeing the score.

I'm not sure his back foot didn't catch the bag beforehis front one popped off this time, but I guess Bucknor just figured he'd seen this film before.

But really, sliding into and staying on the bag seems like a skill he should have picked up somewhere along the line.

If this is referring to Fransisco's third CS, he wasn't even close to being out. It looked like he had BOTH feet on the bag before the tag. How Bucknor still has a job, I'll never know.

Also, I hope if a Marlin ever has a chance for some special accomplishment that we IBB four times, then if he comes up again, we hit him.

I won an autographed Larry Andersen jersey at Fan Appreciation Day today!!! It's no year supply of Herrs but I'll take it!

Actually, one of the balls that Jimmy launched into the 400 level behind home plate fell back down and hit a woman on the back of the head. She was taken out of the seating area on a litter. She was conscious but obviously in pain. Not sure what her status is.

I was in Philly for the weekend for a family wedding. I went to the game yesterday. It was my first Phils game at Citizen's Bank Park. Had great seats behind the Marlins dugout -- and I brought my camera with a wide angle lens. I went up to the view deck. It was an AWESOME day.

That Majestic logo along the out-of-town scoreboard, when you look at it from this reproduced distance and pass over it with your eye quickly, is reminiscent of the old Expos logo. For a moment I thought it was.

Another great shot DAHoF.

Somebody tell me again, though, what function that message board on a pole in the parking lot is serving, other than obscuring the skyline?

i think it's lovingly considered the final remaining piece of the vet, even though it was a late addition to the parking lot there anyway

It's always been a little strange to me, since when it was erected it was promoted as being there to keep people driving by apprised of what was going on inside by posting the score or whatever. While this seemed pretty cool to the eleven year-old me, I don't remember it ever actually doing this, and 12 or 13 year old me wondered why people driving by wouldn't just turn on their radios if they were so damned interested.

I suppose it served some function in promoting upcoming events. Does it still do this?
