Followed the board after the 5th inning... no game on... watched DVR'd The Middle, Modern Family, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Bored to Death... Kimmel on now...

Been a heck of a ride, Again... Good to share it with y'all...

No sports for me until PSU/OSU... then Eagles/Cowboys...

See everyone around ... the offseason beckons...

The Yankees won today, but no one can honestly say that about this team. For them, like the money they rake in, it's just more for the pile.

I can honestly say it's better to be a Phan right now.

I grew up watching garbage Phillies baseball. To be sitting here, looking back at the past 3 years, it's been such a great ride. Next year is going to add another chapter because this team is going to be good. Real good.

We're in the second golden age of Phillies baseball right now and I'm confident we're still in the early stages of this one.

For better or worse, I think I'll be a bit more of a permanent fixture on these boards. I have no philly sports friends, and experiencing this post season with you all has been something great. Looking forward to discussing Eagles games and off season phils moves with you guys.

but now, it's time to dive liver first into some booze.

Pedro Martinez was a Phillies this year. This makes me smile.

MLBN compares Girardi's first 2 Yankee seasons to Torre's. One less division title but 4 more regular season wins, same 1 pennant and same 1 WS title. So Girardi now > Torre.

Brett Myers looking vaguely like someone who was just roused from a deep, deep sleep (or a whiskey-induced coma).

Jim Kelly must have eventually just outright had to bang his sister at some point.

Yet another Yankee fan FB status update:

The greatest franchise in professional sports history has won their 27th World Series title...recognize.

I don't recall any Phillies fans being even half as asshatish last year as these Yankees fans are this year. I almost don't even care who plays in and wins the WS next year, I just can't wait for it to arrive so they will no longer be called World Champions.

Man, Real Madrid has won the Spanish league 31 times and won the European Champions League 9 times. They'd be hella pissed to find out that the Yankees were more successful than them.

So does anyone have any good pithy Yankee spending lines?

I wish I was clever. Best I'm thinking is something along the lines of "I'll take Things I Can Guarantee For $600 Alex...The Philadelphia Phillies would have won the 2009 World Series...What is 'this would have happened if the Phillies spent $430 million on three players last offseason?'"
