I love parsley, rosemary and thyme. I don't really have any idea what to do with sage.

The power button on remote controls should all be located in the same place.

Seems like a waste of space. Why?

I find Sam Harris best consumed in spoonfuls - and his response to that great question with intriguing responses from the previous random thoughts thread could well make the medicine go down

QED, indeed

...It is a big step down from such imperfect scientific inference to the approximate syllogistic reasoning of the law. There the disputant insists that similar premises must lead to similar conclusions. But this similarity involves its own approximate pattern matching of inherently vague patterns of causal conduct or hidden mental states such as intent or foreseeability. The judge's final ruling of "granted" or "denied" resolves the issue in practice. But it is technically a non sequitir (sp).

I'll sign on to this for universal remotes. I keep my cable box off when I'm just playing XBox but when I'm done I'll often space out and hit the AllOn/Off button turning on my cable box while turning off my TV. Then I'll hit it again like that will fix the problem only to find things reversed and me aghast at my own futility.

So you want separate on/off buttons for each device?
