Lots of different kinds of drones out there, with different levels of expendability. This was I believe one of our most secret and sensitive and probably expensive ones.

I don't know much about them, but I believe they're plenty cheap - $7-10 million a pop or so...?

And as far as holding much data, I would think they'd not be designed to store much if any useful stuff onboard.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

No they took it off YouTube. It touted an anti Newt website that apparently isn't live yet.

good stuff TV.

I like the graphic, which cannot be at all representative of their use but goes nicely with my fanciful notion that they're used in flocks:

I would think that a good many of these are ground crew and maintenance. There are a few operators for long duration persistent surveillance fliers.Perhaps they are taking a stab at the analysis and ISR data users (whoever ends up with FMV for decision making).

Silver's points about the volatility of support for the candidates in this race and the lack of consensus on who is or is not an acceptable candidate make Pawlenty's decision to drop out based on the results of a straw poll look even dumber than it did at the time.

Either he really didn't want to run, or he misread the market as badly as Riccardi did when he signed Vernon Wells.

His campaign was in a lot of debt, not raising any money and he's not personally wealthy

Still can't decide if I'm rooting for Gingrich or Romney to win the election. Obama is better than both of them and Gingrich gives Obama much better chances. On the other hand if he somehow gets elected I'm pretty horrified what he would do with the presidency.

Read somewhere Newt is running away with it. So you should stop worrying and learn to love Gingrich as the GOP nominee.

i couldnt figure out how to embed it here. basically, it was on maddow last night, talking about michigan's crazy state takeovers of all these cities, throwing out the mayors and city councils and putting all the power into the hands of one guy.

plus, they're going to ban benefits for domestic partners of state workers. joy.
