Two ones I'm interested coming soon. Sex education with Asa Butterfield and Gillian Anderson. Out...today? And Russian Doll with Natasha Lyonne (nikki from OITNB) from an all female writer team headed by Amy Poehler.

I thought the Russian Doll trailer was meh, and Lyonne kind of annoys me tbh, but people are raving about it

I like her and love Poehler so even if the trailer was absolute trash I'd be giving it a shot.

Are you kidding? It looks like a dark version of Groundhog Day (and honestly, I'm pretty sure that has at least something to do with the season starting on Groundhog's day eve) and that movie was great.

There is an article I ran across that explains that Nexflix is a master of meme marketing. I am curious if they are good at seeding the material or if they actually slickly generate a few for timed release.

I think the movie Happy Death Day is similar also. I haven't seen it yet but I believe that the main character keeps getting killed and waking up on the same day (her birthday). I recently saw a preview for the upcoming sequel and I have to say that they both look pretty entertaining.

I'll probably check out Russian Doll.

John Malcovich is great though. Provides about 80% of the entertainment value.

Gave in and watched Bird Box. Was OK I guess, but mostly felt like I was watching a two hour episode of The Walking Dead.

Didn't realize American Vandal was dropped by Netflix. That's a bummer. Appears that it wasn't produced by them and they want to move to a model where they produce everything they put out.

Seems like a silly decision to have one of your better shows a casuality of that however.

Yeah, I’m hoping Hulu or hbo or someone picks it up. It’s great

Which one. Oh, wait, I guess the Netflix one, duh.

NYT like the Hulu one better, but I don't have Hulu, so I suppose the point is moot.

if it's a war of attrition these companies are after, I have to admit that the presence of two docs has precluded me from watching either

Didn’t realize there were two, I watched the Hulu one and it was good. Nothing surprising or anything, but it was well produced and a solid 90 min. Billy is piece of #$!&@, but I thought it was funny how he went out of his way to not implicate ja rule.
