Woody's hyperanalytical photo comparisons welcome, and jamie can make predictions before Grimey sees the next ep

also, i guess a standard place to drop this

Show rules. TBH I forgot that the shot of Reggie was just for the audience and was a bit confused at the start of Ep 4.

nothing too nuts from this week's episode yet, though there's a lot of study of the symbology in episode 2

from this week:

also the bartender in the strip club is Nic Pizzolatto, as Woody mentioned.

there's some speculation that there's more to the lawnmower man than has been explored
also some details as to why the traveling church camp is cultish--lots of black star tattoos and bracelets on characters that match symbols from the diary, etc.

here's a still from the tent scene in Ep. 3 with a "devil catcher" in the backdrop

Just caught up. Holy balls that tracking shot. I can't even fathom how they pulled that off. Beyond the logistics, the tension it have that scene was unreal.

i think it's not without its flaws but that the shots and the acting of Harrelson and McConaughey (who will probably win an award for this) make it, at worst, compelling. but that last shot has rightfully launched this season into the stuff of legend. that was a watershed action shot in television.

Agree with this. I think what shows the skill of the show is how the first few eps were paced pretty slow and were really character driven and the first bit of "action" was that astonishing scene.

Same could be said of that girl flopping those extraordinary titties out in episode 2, I suppose.

I think I should probably watch this show, something I don't do very often. (last show I watched was Arrested Development). Any way to see this for non-HBO subscribers??

PASSING FAD

no seriously, i didn't want that much work. like dvds or netflix or youtube or something. I guess I'm SOL. I wonder if I can use my sister's HBOGO key because she likely has no clue it even exists.

we'd all like to have discs or netflix things rather than stream them illegally, but we all gotta get by, Bucky.
