Didn't like Vice. Loved The Big Short. I thought the pacing was just so slow for Vice, though Christian Bale was good. It didn't help that I saw the 10:30 showing and nodded off a couple times.

Lady Bird was really good. Kept thinking the dad was Marv from Home Alone.
Miami Vice was not good. I love Mann and it’s shot really cool but the movie is a dud.
Hitchcock’s Rope was neat. They didn’t have the technology to film it in one continuous shot so it’s only 11 scenes.

The Mule was good despite the casual racism and Clint having threesomes with 25 year olds

Early reviews for Glass are not good. Sigh

ehh...those are probably critic reviews. I'll wait to hear what audiences say. The reality is that it doesn't matter because it can't possibly be bad enough for me not to want to see it.

If there was ever a great movie that needed a sequel, this isn't it.

Watched 3 movies this weekend:

Venom: Didn't know anything about the story going into the movie. Thought it was terrible for the first half since I found both lead characters to be completely unlikable, even though I think I was supposed to like them. Poor acting. The second half was a bit better once the story started to develop a bit and I got used to the stupid dialogue between the main character and the creature, but I still found it distracting and not funny and just really bad most of the time. 5/10 and that only because the action was decent.

Sound of the Sea: Really nice animated film. Perfect for my 7 year old daughter. Really liked the story and the style of the animation. It was maybe a little slow in spots. 8.5/10

Simple Favor: Had low expectations going into this, but was surprised by the story. I don't think it was quite as funny as intended (didn't think the neighborhood parent's stuff was that funny), but it was well done, cool soundtrack, good performances, and I enjoyed it overall. 7/10

A Ghostbusters reboot, set in the same universe as the originals, is coming next year for some reason.

Yes, but it wasn't connected to the real ones, whereas this one will be. And Jason Reitman will be directing it.

Ghostbusters 2016 > oceans 8

With that being said...

Hobgoblins 2 > ghostbusters 2016

Oceans 8 was fine. Lady Ghostbusters was awful. Feig is generally a very good director. Huge miss

I know I'm not the first, nor will I be the last, to make this observation, but it's infuriating to have to sit through a commercial to watch... a commercial
