Add "Party of Five" to the list of shows being rebooted. But this time, instead of the parents dying, they are deported!

Thought this was a joke.

Modern Family was renewed for an 11th and final season, which may not be a full 20 episodes

Episodes are really hit or miss now, but I’m glad they get a proper goodbye

Haven't your read ANYTHING about it? She doesn't wake up in a hotel bedroom, she dies and then goes back to a bathroom. And the song she hears isn't Sonny & Cher, it's Harry Nilsson. And I'm pretty sure she doesn't lean piano.

Main conceit aside (which other things have borrowed over the last 30 years) it is very tonally different from Groundhog's Day.

I've watched the first two episodes, and I think one challenge is pacing. Groundhog Day was almost perfectly paced--the only point it starts to drag is the day he finally gets it right. It's much tougher I think to pace a series.

The other big difference, and this one I think is interesting, is that this seems more about fate than Groundhog Day. In Groundhog Day, the idea was that if Bill Murray makes the right choices, he can move forward with his life. It's pretty clearly a clever redemption story. Here, however, at least so far, it appears that no matter what she does, she dies. There seem to be no right choices. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be any thing really wrong with her, other than perhaps a bit of hedonism. Perhaps all this will be revealed in coming episodes.

I had no idea that The Good Place season finally was in the books. I guess they will have tie to work in the horror of Blake Bortles being replaced by BDN.

It’s awesome. Favorite show on tv, avoid spoilers! There’s also a companion podcast done by the cast/writers.

Documentary Now is back, released this Wild Wild Country sendup on YouTube. The reason the cult wears its colors is hilarious when revealed.

Starting watching Call My Agent and I'm enjoying it. Even though I've watched a lot of French films, I admit I mostly miss out on recognizing that the actresses playing actresses are really actresses and not just actresses acting as actresses. But there are other pleasures, and when Isabelle Huppert finally shows up I feel certain there'll be a glimmer of recognition on my part.

Watched that show with Daniel Radcliff and where Steve Buscemi is God. It had some funny parts. They are clearly trying to create their version of The Good Place but I don't know if this will hold up unless it has some twist like Good Place.

The twist at the end of S1 of The Good Place was one I didn’t see coming!
