The train's moving right on schedule. This is not the time to hop off. Go Sizzlers.

Did you guys not watch Okafor at Duke? He was dominant for five minute stretches and then would get exhausted and have to come out.

Brown and Co. will get him in shape by the time the season starts and you're going to see the guy dominate for longer stretches. It's just a conditioning issue right now which the Sixers will get straightened out in camp.

Missed the game last night. Any highlights or lowlights?

Sucks about Holmes. I like him a bunch. He reminds me of what I hoped Moultrie might be.

Well, this is about the best possible time to get hurt if there is such a thing. Got a few games in but also should be ready by late September at the latest.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "A Summer Journey of Emojis"?

Did you really expect him to dominate summer league? I expected to see flashes, which I think I've seen so far, but this guy has been able to dominate his whole life playing half as hard as he will need to in the NBA. It is going to take time to get in shape and learn the pro game.

also there were stretches where he was set up on the block and he just didn't touch the ball. Nothing he can do there, guys are trying to get themselves noticed around the league, get themselves on tape.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Highlight (or lowlight) of the night is we found out Furkan's nickname is Foo. He also murdered a few people with screens. Oldest looking 23 year old since Fausto Carmona.

Maybe its just because everyone is such an incredible athlete or something but its amazing to me how out of control everyone looks and how many bad passes get made and bad shots get taken. The other thing that struck me is that for a guy who gets labeled an MBA stat nerd, Hinkie sounded like a hardcore basketball guy when he was interviewed during the game.

The reality is that he's both, but duality and media narratives don't really work well together

I feel like some people don't understand the concept of Summer League.

I think people do understand summer league, but it's also fair to try to draw judgements & conclusions from it. That's how human brains work. They take experiences and process them, categorize them, make judgements upon them and then use them to form opinions. That said, I was all in all disappointed with everyone except Furk & Holmes, BUT that was such a #$!&@ of chaos that I feel like it's not entirely fair to judge anyone's performance based on those 4 games, really.

Excited to see a conditioned JAWS in September.

Is Furk playing in Eurobasket? Would be curious to see if he becomes a more prominent guy on the Turks.

should be interesting to see what happens because poor guy doesn't have an NBA contract yet, and we have a crowded roster. Sixers have demonstrated doing the "right thing" in the past with Pappy so that should make him feel better.

So is this a Sixers thread? I'm confused and don't know if I can ignore it.

Yeah, I watched last night and felt like it's straight chaos, so tough to draw any conclusions. One takeaway was Oak has great hands (i know others have said ). He had a one-handed rebound towards the end of the first quarter that looked like he had magnets for hands.

On the other hand (har har), he looks like a zilch in rim protection.

Cant wait for the board explosion if/when Embiid steps on the court.
