I am too old to embed tweets but Pompey posted Kendall going through some drills and it doesn't look like he is all that far off

Instead of Sixers Beat shouldn't it be called Sixers Beaten?

The last 2 years we've been outtanked so I'm rooting for a loss every game this year. Never too early to start.

I'm rooting hard for Sixers wins and Kings losses. The chips can fall where they may elsewhere.

Also #$!&@ the Celtics and the Cavs.

Let's try to get to 50 pages so we can start fresh with a new thread for the Sixers opener.

Cousins at some point this season could make it way easier for everyone just to root like heck for the Sixers. Hopefully not by injury.

So who are the starters?

Canaan, Sampson, Thompson, Noel, and Okafor?

this seems like a good strategy

What Brown is demanding from Okafor is to be a part of it all, which means many rim runs, quite a change in the way he is used to playing.

"It's just never letting go of the mentality of running to the spot where you want to post," Brown said. "There is no worse feeling in coaching when you have to call a play every time down the floor. I don't like coaching like that and I don't think the game is played like that. He can make up his own play. He can run to the block and get the ball. That doesn't require me. So that's what I'm on him to do and if we keep coaching him that, he's going to get to those free throws. I think he'll get deeper catches. I think he'll get more frequent touches. That's what I coach more than anything."

more candid Brown

"Out of all the anxiety as it relates to offense, Nerlens is the most poised," said Brown. "He looks like he's played in the league more than the others. JaKarr (Sampson) plays 1,000 miles an hour. Isaiah (Canaan) is trying to figure out how to truly be more of a point guard than he presently is, and he generally wants to be a point guard. You've got Hollis (Thompson) who still plays fast. Jerami (Grant) is playing more with poise, but Nerlens really stands out. The years under his belt have helped him. He had a hell of a preseason. He is an NBA player and I think a special NBA player."
