I know you like their team but the players they've assembled really don't seem to fit and I am not sure they have a superstar among any of them.
lets not get into it but the idea that a team "didn't tank" to get good enough is not supported by any evidence of a real team except for a hypothetical Sixers future.
If anything, the Magic should be a cautionary tale. They had three consecutive seasons of 25 and under wins and they built a nice team, but it probably has a fairly limited ceiling and they've already made their jump so they're not likely to get a high draft pick.
We're throwing out some pretty so-so players and we're seeing a big shift just from one role player PG. If we end up with the fourth pick and Embiid never plays, will we be in a much different position than the Magic next year?
They didn't draft a single guy that is starting for them with the picks that came from those records.
