I know you like their team but the players they've assembled really don't seem to fit and I am not sure they have a superstar among any of them.

lets not get into it but the idea that a team "didn't tank" to get good enough is not supported by any evidence of a real team except for a hypothetical Sixers future.

If anything, the Magic should be a cautionary tale. They had three consecutive seasons of 25 and under wins and they built a nice team, but it probably has a fairly limited ceiling and they've already made their jump so they're not likely to get a high draft pick.

We're throwing out some pretty so-so players and we're seeing a big shift just from one role player PG. If we end up with the fourth pick and Embiid never plays, will we be in a much different position than the Magic next year?

They didn't draft a single guy that is starting for them with the picks that came from those records.

yikes.

Sixers are 5-8 (and should've been 7-6 or better) since she announced it on Christmas Eve. It's like Baby Jesus or something

Most Minutes Played on the Magic and how the guy was acquired

1. Tobias Harris- traded from the Bucks for JJ Redick and Ish Smith (!)
2. Evan Fournier- traded from the Nuggets for Afflalo
3. Nikola Vucevic- traded from the Sizzlers for Howard
4. Victor Oladipo- drafted 2nd overall in 2013
5. Elfrid Payton- drafted 10th overall in 2014
6. Aaron Gordon- drafted 4th overall in 2014
7. Channing Frye- signed as a free agent
8. Jason Smith- signed as a free agent
9. Andrew Nicholson- drafted 19th overall in 2012
10. Mario Hezonja- drafted 5th overall in 2015

Their drafting has been meh, but they've done really well with trades
