He's a prime example of why the nba needs minor league teams and not some glorified pick up basketball currently known as the d-league. I would really like to see something similar to the nhl system as far as drafting, contracts and minor leagues.

While I might be missing the game tomorrow, I won't be missing Jerry colangelo. I am going to some almost symposium like event on the 4th floor of the library at GCU. If there is a chance to ask any questions... I got a couple.

Who's gone by the start of the 2017-2018 year, Noel, Okafor, or BOTH?

Is Sam Hinkie the smartest man you have ever met?

Any other questions that I should add or at least attempt to. I will get him talking sixers and hopefully get a pic too.

I don't know why McCain is going to be at this thing. I thought he would be too busy trying to see what wars he can get us involved in.

ask him about how they think they'll be able to divide the minutes between Embiid/Noel/Oak/Holmes & "the foreign guy"

I hope Jakarr comes back because he would be the 2nd or 3rd guy from that process that was actually a find (Cov, Ish, Jakarr - Grant was a high 2nd round so doesn't count). would like to see as many successes out of this period as possible.

All the beat writers say he's coming back. Whew. You need a fella that is positive and good for morale and can play D in a pinch.

Don't ask the Noel/Okafor question. There's no way he'll answer it and it'll probably make him less likely to be engaging with his other answers.

Here are a couple I'd have:

What's your sales pitch to free agents this offseason?

Which Sizzler, or Sizzlers, have exceeded your expectations the most since you got here?

What rule changes would you like to see the league implement?

Is there any chance we see Team USA holding a practice in the Camden facility in the future?

How aggressive will the front office be this offseason?

"It's out of my control," Okafor said of trade talks involving him. "This is where I want to be, but whatever happens, to still be able to play in the NBA is still dream and part of the journey. But it's out of your control. So you can't stress about it."

and for Sixers in court:

A Camden County judge ruled Thursday that an initial plea deal offered to 76ers player Jahlil Okafor was valid, meaning Okafor will pay a $439 fine for speeding on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge but will not be required to do community service, Okafor's attorney said.

Smith said his client had "learned his lesson" about speeding. "Now he knows to be more cognizant of how he operates his car on the roads," Smith said.
Smith said a reckless-driving charge was dismissed and a charge of driving at an excessive rate of speed was amended to operating in an unsafe manner, to which Okafor pleaded guilty as part of the deal.

Their skill level is a notch below some of the other guys but they are definitely NBA athletes.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Jaylen Brown was fantastic last night too. I feel a lot better about getting the Lakers pick now than a month ago. We have enough bigs but Henry Ellenson is very interesting too.

56% chance they don't, also not positive the Sixers won't pass them in the standings too

Either way there's a 36% chance at worst of getting Lakers pick. Weird that those odds would make you not even consider something. I actually think Phoenix could finish below both of us.

phoenix has no one left, i think they'll finish below us. we have continuity going into the '2nd' half that we never had before...i don't see 30 wins or anything but they'll win a few.

tbf i've been practicing non-attachment or expectation and have only concerned myself with what we're able to control. A whole 'nother top 5 pick would be a sweet bonus, but i see major benefits to having it roll over next year too. You can look at it in a vacuum or you can assess it as part of the sum. Embiid/Saric is kind of a sick haul in itself.

but yea, the pick itself, it's more mysterious to me than those two other guys.
