Can someone explain to me the appeal of Brandon Knight? I see -- and have always seen -- a mediocre combo guard masquerading as a point guard. Mediocre shooter, volume scorer, mediocre defender (and I think the fact that he's been on 3 teams already speaks to that). In my view, he has virtually no value; I welcome any arguments to the contrary.

That's often the case. Chris Ryan barely even celebrated us winning the lottery on that livestream

And for what it's worth Simmons lauded the Noel and Embiid picks, clowned Porzingis because of his name this time last year, and would blow John Skipper for Ben Simmons

You are NOT wrong. He's neither a true PG nor a great shooter. He's a solid player but seemingly not a great fit with what we have other than he fill a position.

He's a good shooter off the catch. Decent size. Young and on a reasonable contract. Idk I think he's s good fit around Simmons and Embiid. He's not an all world player but he certainly has value.

Morey was on one of the Wojy Woj podcasts and discussed Hinkie:

I wanted to take hits for him.

The reality is, when he took over Philly, he took the approach that was best for the franchise at that time in his judgment, which was that the best way for them to get to be a title contender, given the roster where they were at, was to take a pretty strong dip into the top five of the draft. That has more of a history of success in terms of building a championship contender.

Unfortunately, because of that, they took themselves out of free agency. That’s going to make a lot of agents upset. They took themselves out of trades that were upgrading the franchise. That’s going to upset people who feel like they’re just sort of taking advantage of the rules of the league that you get high picks if you’re terrible.

And the lottery sort of encourages you to get even worse than anyone needs to, which is why Commissioner [Adam] Silver was looking at reform or wanted reform to pass.

[Hinkie is] very good at what he does. Because of the path they took, I think it ends up being the case where he ended up upsetting a lot of folks - agents, important people around the league. And you know, unfortunately, I think that’s what got him.

Also stated he probably should've publicly dealt with the local media more to explain himself. It would appear that's the most correct of all.

whoever/giannis/Simmons/zinger/Embiid would have been pretty sweet.

2 out of 4 ain't bad though. Can't hit all the time, something about a process and trusting it.

Ugh Simmons Krispy and Embiid would be a pretty perfect front court if Simmons can cover 3s at all.

IOW the things about Hinkie that people have been calling BS for the last year or two may in fact be so.
