Kids a beast.. Wish we had a true big man coach that could match him in size to work with him some though.

not many 7'2 320 lb coaches floating around.

Only if he recently shrunk 3 inches.

I thought that Hakeem actually had already done training with him and made comments that it was like looking into a mirror and seeing his younger self.

feel like I would have heard about this if it happened...

also, I think Lloyd Pierce spends a lot of time with Embiid and he's probably at least 6'5

& Sean Rooks was pretty tall (6'10), spent time with Embiid, but he left the Sixers then passed away. RIP.

He was always listed at 7 foot and still is but I have heard Magic Johnson say that he was just as tall if not a hair taller. Which sort of freaked me out at the time.

I don't know must have been a dream about the Dream. I could have sworn they had a little sportscenter segment about him training a few days with his hero before the draft and injury.

it's almost like you guys don't recognize my legitimate title of Professor Emeritus of Hinkie era Sixers History.

At the time, Embiid told everyone that his goal was to be as good as NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, who, like Embiid, grew up playing soccer before discovering basketball. Embiid watched tapes of Olajuwon almost daily and then tried to mimic his moves on the court.

A few months ago, Olajuwon even called Embiid and offered to help him train during future offseasons.

“I don’t even remember much of what he said,” Embiid said. “I was just so excited to be talking to my idol that I couldn’t focus on anything else. I was just like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah!’

"It was a big deal to me.”

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2112 ... -draft-day

from a draft profile of Embiid

And he's been hurt since then, so unless it was magically unreported, it aint happened.
