I think they have another level if Embiid can get his turnovers under control and either Okafor can at least get back to where he was last January or Noel comes back to replace him.

Also if Covington starts hitting shots.

He should have like the 15th best DRTG. Seems like he hasn't played enough though.

While I believe this to be true, he really has no say in the matter. He's rightfully butthurt right now, but I could see that swinging if some combination of playing time, more consistent wins and an *please god* Okafor deal goes down.

I might have some thoughts on how that might go down...

I bet Brad Stevens would do more with Jah than BB has. #whoa #wow

I know it's his first go round here and still less than 20 games but dario has had a pretty tough go so far. Does a lot of things on the court that make you think he's very smart and knows what he's doing but he's struggled to find easy looks and has clanked a lot of the open ones he's had. Slightly disappointing he hasn't had a game yet where he has really shown up as the go-to option to run offense thru (which I think he's capable of being from time to time), though maybe that's just deferring to teammates in a new situation. Plenty of season left but I think he needs to step up and take advantage of opportunities bc if not, his minutes could get cut significantly when Simmons is ready

We'll see more of the playmaking once the game slows down for him. I think there's also some games where he doesn't have his legs. He's played so many games in the last calendar year. Next year is when I expect we'll see the real Dario. I hold hope he'll be our Manu, the captain of the 2nd unit.

I think Dario tops out as a 6th or 7th guy - which is fine. He has to become a stretch 4 who can board and can pass a little - Ryan Anderson type. he can't guard 3's and right now he's not strong enough to guard 4's so he's a tweener thrown into a chaotic mess of an offense trying to find his way. He's had his moments so far - to his credit and determination. He is limited athletically and there is not much he can do about that. He'll need to get stronger for sure over the summer and off-season, continue to work on his shot which is flat and unreliable. He can be a nice bench piece on a good team down the road or maybe a trade sweetener for a cornerstone piece

He'd be better if he played with Nerlens instead of Jah. That's a lot of extra work he has to do on defense. Also, they should definitely run more plays through him. Not sure what the hold up is there.

Embiid / Noel / Holmes
Ilyasova / Dario
Simmons / Covington
Henderson / Sauce / Hollis
Bayless / Sergio / TJ

That's a pretty fun squad for the rest of the year if we get Nerlens and dump Jah for nothing. It also doesn't include TLC who could probably benefit from some D League time.

That second unit is way funner than anything we've had the past few years

i've been fine with what Dario's done. If you look around the league most rookies are doing NOTHING. he's been competent and shown some flashes. he's finally stopped carrying the ball. he's going to continue to improve and grow into his body.

his 2 point FG% is lower than I imagined it'd be and is being dragged down by his shot. he's a pretty decent finisher that will get better as he bulks up a bit.

he's doing well as it relates to rookies, he's doing poorly as it relates to 22 year olds

I don't think it's fair to compare him to other rookies since he's been playing professionally in Europe for like five years. He's still getting adjusted to the NBA/America though and he does some fun stuff on the court.
