This game thread saw 6 wins.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Once they get it to him in deep he gets going. I don't mind him trailing and taking those threes, but you really waste his immense talent when you have him hanging out too much at the three point line. He knows how to draw contact and can hit from the line. Once Simmons comes back they really have to reevaluate their offense.

You dont want Embiid down low all the time because it creates more drive space, allows him to exploit a match up outside, and pribably dont want him playing thru contact everytine as that would wear him down and slow the game down too.

There are going to be times that you want to keep defenses on their toes and be able to take advantage of some of those other offensive talents... However, what are the ultimate advantages he has by being an average at best NBA 3pt shot and a drive if it consists of more than one dribble enroute to the basket is a horrifying awkward move that I pray he doesn't get injured on and most likely results in a turnover? Yes, those talents require the opposing center to go out there and guard him thus freeing up the lane so it's easier for his teammates to get to the basket. While he has to be accounted for which is great, but are teams really going to go out and double team him that far from the basket? What premier slasher is he helping get to the rim that can convert in the top 10 percentile at the rim, in addition to drawing contact and converting at an 80% clip at the line?

while the league has evolved to more a more perimeter oriented game and baring a rule change will be that way, it is a case of do you use the outside to set up the inside or vice versa. If I have someone who can draw fouls in the top 5 percentile, convert at 80%, attract double teams and able to recognize and pass out of them... Is the ultimate offensive weapon. Instead of making average slashers above average ones by opening up the floor, he' has the ability to make average 3 point shooters better by giving them open looks on collapsing defenses. Who on this team would you rather have make it easier for driving into the lane or giving them a wide open 3? Honestly might be Ben when he comes back and it is something that has to be looked at.

When you have the best big in the league you play big. This means extra possessions on the offensive glass where he has the ability to rebound at a much greater rate than at 8.9%. This means getting their bigs and rim protectors out of the game, not by forcing them to play on the perimeter, but rather getting them into foul trouble. I want to force teams to play big, because both he and Simmons are so much more athletic and versatile than pretty much most of the bigs out there. You play big, you're playing a war of attrition and with embiid, you will win.

I couldn't catch this live cause I'm out for dinner... And this was one of his more coordinated, smoother drives to the hoop.

Happy he's fine, go sixers, let's make the playoffs!

it's disappointing, whats up with this?. it seems like he's opted to play a more responsible defense and then have a burst here and there. Must be the minutes, he's gotta be a full time guy somewhere. Richaun can be Noel-lite imo

Also, a friend of mine sat courtside last night. He said before the game he shook CJ and Dame's hands and other Sixers fans around him booed him.

CJ = future Sixer. Nice to see he didn't play well against us last night, supporting the playoff run.
Marquelle Fultz: (6/23) "My goal is to be the best player in the NBA."
Ben Simmons: (8/28) "My goal is to be the best in the league."
Don't fight, Embiid has this covered.

If I'm blazers nfw I'm trading McCollum. He looks like a top 5 player at 2 guard already

How about for Noel, lakers pick, our 1sr next year, furkan 2.0 and whatever guard they want as a stop gap? The lillard/McCollum backcourt is not exactly without a con or two.
