Noted BSG member and the best Sixers writer out there Derek Bodner has started a subscription service for Sixers coverage since phillymag dropped their sports section.

It's $3/month. Click this link to find out what that gets you and maybe subscribe and stay plugged in to your favorite basketball team.

I signed up. Less than 24 hours in he already has 700+ people. Wonder how sticky that will be, and how many he would need to commit full time. It's potentially an awesome idea.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Gotta think if he can pull down $5k/month that's a pretty good way to go. (Wait But Why is getting $13k/month)

I'm certainly going to try it for my biz, beats doing my newsletter for free.

Half of the amount collected over 1k per month unless he starts actually making a living off of the subscriptions

ruinous Pompey scoop

NEW ORLEANS - Now we have a better idea why Ben Simmons hasn't played yet for the 76ers.

The first overall pick in last summer's draft is scheduled to visit the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York as early as Monday to determine if his right foot is fully healed, according to multiple sources.

Sources said that a foot scan on Jan. 23 showed that his foot was not fully healed.

and so it begs the question...

is there a reason the scan on 1/23 is being announced on 2/16?

there was this one right around the same time

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/repor ... tar-break/

During training camp, Simmons, 20, fractured the fifth metatarsal bone of his right foot and was ruled out indefinitely following surgery. His foot has completely healed, sources say.

They announced that before. Colangelo was on during a game and called it the "final scan" or whatever.

It not being fully healed at that time makes sense and explains why they seemingly slowed down his rehab around that time. Just wish they would have said that rather than the needless cloak and dagger for the last month.

The only thing enjoyable about this team is the the dudes on the floor and the social media accounts. Everyone else in the organization can DIAF.

You guys don't get it though. If they say that Embiid and Simmons are injured or had setbacks, not as many people will buy tickets hoping to see them. How else are they supposed to sell tickets to a Wednesday night game against an uninspiring opponent than hiding Embiid's meniscal tear and claiming that he's a gametime decision?
