The OFFICIAL I HATE Freddy Garcia Thread

Postby mozartpc27 » Fri Jun 08, 2007 9:08 pm

What start was it when, after being taken out with the bases loaded, he whined about how the team had "no confidence" in him? And is it too late to stop payment on his last pay check?

Tonight, against the Royals, everything --- and I mean EVERYTHING --- was up and out over the plate: fastballs, curveballs, you name it. Sweeney should have had about 4 home runs in his last at-bat against Garcia; the Phillies are only lucky he just got the one. How dare he toss those batting practice fastballs up there, and then looked "shocked" after each one of them left the yard (if you watched his expression on TV, he seemed genuinely surprised that he was giving up all these home runs). Garcia SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS and I HATE HATE HATE HATE him.

I'd cut his ass TOMORROW if I were the GM. Piece of #$!&@.

Ah, but the difference is my irrational hatred of someone I've never met and who may indeed be a fie person did not invoke negative racial sterotyping. So there.

This post, however, has a healthy helping of sanctimonious holier-than-thou condescension, so fire at will.

Busybodies are those who are overly zealous about becoming involved in private affairs that don't concern them.

I made public comments about other public comments on a public message board of which I am a member.

Pinko commy liberal? Sure. Overly sensitive? Maybe. Busybody? No.

Lawyer in Florida? No no no. I wish I were that rich! Not a lawyer at all, actually. Just a grad student.

I don't hate Freddy...He's just no good...and that's what I hate...and I don't hate Gillick...I hate that he couldn't figure out that Freddy is no good...the saddest part is that the Mets were interested too...he would've looked great in a Met uniform

I was thinking of a thread titled GARCIA IS A BIG FAT PIG but thought it would be too mean spirited

Yeah, but with phillies luck, the mets would tweak something and he'd have a better year than the 100 million dollar #3 in Boston

Is it luck, or idiocy?

I feel like a boob for saying this ..but I would do anything to keep Freddy from starting another game.... and would love nothing more than to put Brett in Freddy's spot...we'll still have a problem w/ the closer's role as I still do not trust ALF....but you know what.... I would pull a RyHo and put him on the DL send him down to work out whatever his problem is ..if its a problem that can be fixed...it maybe too late in his career..and while he was down there I would try to convince this man, who's in a contract year, that if he wants to continue to live the life style he's been living he had better pony up and start throwing up some good numbers in a hurry... before he starts to look like a cancerous tumor to every team looking for FA pitching next year.
P.S. I think an injured JA Happ could put up 6 er in 11/3..but that's just me
