RB Correll Buckhalter
FS Sean Considine
CB Lito Shepard

Gained:
OT Stacy Andews
2009 5th Round Pick (plus 2010 4th, 3rd or 2nd Round Pick

Are the Ravens and now the Broncos the only teams in the league with personality?

I should become a professional Reverse Backlash Coordinator.

Ok so Denver could have given Dawkins a 10 year 150 million dollar contract but when it's all said and done this is a 2 year - 7.2 or 9 million dollar deal. I'm really #$!&@ pissed off that the Eagles wouldn't match that.

Exactly. It does not matter that it is a five year deal. The Eagles should have been willing to go to 2yr/8 mil which would probably have gotten it done.

I wonder if Reno Mahe can play safety?

Or you could just stop jumping to conclusions.

I'm sad to see him go, but I wouldn't have given him that type of cash either (the 5 year deal, although 4 mil a year for 2 seems right, if he would have accepted that). I'm just saying that the one superstar on this team that had an outgoing, likable personality is now gone. Hopefully D-Jax can step into that role. I'm not even saying it's necessary for a team's success, but as a fan (and I think you miss out on this sometimes), it's nice to have someone to like as a person.

And all we have to show for it is a RT who tore his ACL a few months ago. If it takes a QB over a year to fully recover from an injury like that, how long does it take an OL who weighs ~80 lbs more than him to return to form?

Some notes from Shawn Andrews' conference call (he was in North Carolina visiting his son):

-- "a pleasure, an honor, a gift" to be playing with Stacy, said he prayed and thought about it for a few years

-- said they'll be "The Great Wall of Philadelphia"

-- says he's into holistic medicine and acupuncture now to get ready for May....says he's ready to get back into action

-- "a pleasure and a honor to play next to Jon [Runyan]"

-- Dawkins: "a loss to the team and a loss to me personally.....respect him as a husband, a father, a teammate, a man"....helped him get through things last year

-- has been working on adjusting to the possibility of playing left tackle the last couple of months and feels comfortable there if they needed him to move there. He also joked that he'd still like to try a few snaps at TE. :o

I don't see this as being so bad. Buck and LJ were foregone conclusions and good riddance to the latter. As for Lito, the secondary is really good even without Dawkins (I think Mikell has plenty of personality), I'm happy they were able to get something substantial in return. Consadine turned into a nice st gunner but nobody wants to see him responsible for deep middle in meaningful time. I really don't know much about Demps going forward, but signing Stacy Andrews (if he is healthy and ready to go) allows them to go for safety help in the first round.

Andrews' impressive track and field background is encouraging. He obviously has quick feet and should be able to replace Runyan, who was running on fumes by the end of last season.

acl/mcl injuries are not the career killers that they used to be. It seems to me that Andrews is a very athletic big man who carries his weight pretty well.

I just wanted to say that I hate McNabb's personality and someone else better step up as the leader. Stewart Bradley?

I am finished with the STINKING Eagles! I hate, hate, hate that organization and what they do. I will watch QVC before I ever watch another Eagles game! Anybody want to buy some old Eagles jerseys?
